Ministry was not designed to be done alone
“Do Ministry Together” is not just a slogan to us. It is a lifestyle with a Biblical foundation.
[20] For Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20 KJV
Yes, we all enjoy some peace and quiet sometimes (for others, most of the time)… that being said, you can worship God with no one else around. There I said it. God exists in our everyday lives whether others are around or not. I experience some awesome moments of worship in my car listening to the radio. As contradicting as that sounds to the “Do Ministry Together” mentality, we are still called to worship God in unity with one another. Friends, Small Groups, Corporate Worship, etc. etc. etc.
[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
[24] and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
[25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV
Ministry was not designed to be divided
[10] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV
We live in a culture of churches sprouting up everyone out of a disbelief, where if we don't believe in something that a preacher speaks, a new church is formed ommiting that one statement of belief. More and more we are subdividing the church creating smaller groups of believers. This wouldn't be so bad if churches actually united together in ministry; however, more and more we segregate the body of Christ in an act of competition to see who's church is "better".
Teamwork is the dream work
I am going to be honest with you. This phrase used to get on my nerves. Everyone was using it and I just kept hearing it and hearing it and hearing it. But it has such a powerful meaning.
[12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
[13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
[14] For the body is not one member, but many.
[15] If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
[16] And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
[17] If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
[18] But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
[19] And if they were all one member, where were the body?
[20] But now are they many members, yet but one body.
[21] And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
[22] Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
[23] and those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
[24] For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
[25] that there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
[26] And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
[27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
[28] And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
[29] Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
[30] Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
[31] But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31 KJV
If we would step up as believers and unite together as the body of Christ (the way God designed), we would be able to do far more than what we can do apart.
It is time to make a difference.
That is our goal within Biblical Nation. To unite the church, not focusing on the differences, but instead focusing on our common belief in Jesus Christ so that we can go out and do what we have been called to do: tell others about Jesus.
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20] teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
It is time that we realize that we are not at war against each other.
We are not at war against the Church.
We are at war against SATAN!!!
We MUST unite together and begin fighting the good fight.
Stand Up and Proclaim the name of Jesus today in unison as ONE NATION – UNDER GOD
